Temporary Orders

Temporary Orders may be necessary or helpful as part of a divorce proceeding. Temporary Orders are an Order issued by the Court that set the ground rules for the parties while your case is ongoing. Temporary Orders can determine whether one party is required to leave the family residence. They can establish child support or spousal support while the case is pending. They can establish a child possession schedule so that both parties may have predictable time with children.

Child Support Modification

A child support obligation can be changed if there has been a significant change of circumstances of one of the parties. If the person obligated to pay support has lost their job or is making substantially less money the court may modify their obligation upon a proper request to the Court. If the recipient’s circumstances have changed or expenses have significantly increased the award may be increased under certain circumstances. In addition to a change in child support the Court may revise the possessory schedule if necessary.
